The fashion blogger world is abuzz with the new spring concepts: color blocking and pattern mixing. I'm a failure at both and quite honestly I lack a lot of pattern in my wardrobe. Color blocking I may be able to handle, but pattern mixing?
Today I stuck a toe out into the waters of pattern mixing, and it felt just fine. I know that color is more prominent in a lot of mixing that I see, but it's still so wintery here that I'm tucked into my wool skirts and cozy sweaters which lean heavily toward the neutral side.

WHAT! Look at your pretty hair in the first picture!
I am also, as you know, afeared of/lacking in patterned items to mix, but this post gave me inspiration!
I'm so clueless when it comes to pattern mixing. I blame my mom telling me not mix prints when I was little!
I find this an unoffensive version of pattern-mixing! I know as someone who is willing to appear in public sans-pants, I shouldn't talk, but I think that the really aggressive form of this trend is going to make us snicker in about 10 yrs!
Thanks all! Pattern mixing is a bit out of my realm. I'm not really comfortable with it either especially since I'm of the mix a color with a neutral and make sure your shoes match club. I'll keep trying though!
